Pro-Mining
Minnesota's Iron Range has always been the backbone of American industry. During World War II, our region produced 75 percent of the iron that helped win the war. Today, the need for domestic mining is greater than ever. Our copper, nickel, and precious metal resources are essential for everything from electric vehicles to national defense. Instead of outsourcing these critical minerals to foreign nations, we must unleash responsible mining right here at home. I will fight to cut through the red tape that has stalled projects for decades and bring good-paying jobs back to northern Minnesota.
2nd Amendment
The right to keep and bear arms is fundamental to our freedom and enshrined in our Constitution. In northern Minnesota, firearms are part of our heritage and way of life—for hunting, sport, and protecting our families. I will fiercely defend your Second Amendment rights against any attempt to infringe upon them and will champion legislation that protects law-abiding gun owners.
Local Control
The people of northern Minnesota know what's best for their communities—not bureaucrats in St. Paul or Washington. Unelected agencies continue to impose mandates and regulations that override local decision-making. Whether it's vehicle standards dictated by coastal states or one-size-fits-all education policies, enough is enough. I will fight to restore power to local governments and ensure that the voices of our communities are heard and respected.
Backing the Blue
Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day to keep our families and communities safe. The anti-police rhetoric of recent years has made their jobs harder and our streets more dangerous. I stand firmly with our men and women in uniform. We need strong laws, prosecutors who hold criminals accountable, and police departments with the resources and support they need to protect and serve.
Ending Fraud & Corruption
As a mayor, I came on board demanding accountability from our Governor and legislators for the enormous fraud and debt that has been incurred. It needs to stop being carried on the backs of our taxpayers. Minnesotans deserve a government that works for them, not one plagued by scandal and self-dealing. The corruption we've witnessed under the current administration is unacceptable. From the Feeding Our Future fraud—the largest pandemic relief fraud in the nation—to a lack of transparency and accountability, it's clear that the status quo isn't working. I will demand honest, transparent government and work to root out waste, fraud, and abuse at every level.
Emergency Power Reform
No governor should have unchecked power for an unlimited time. During the pandemic, Minnesotans watched as Governor Walz maintained emergency powers for well over a year with little legislative oversight. This is not how our democracy is supposed to work. I will push for meaningful reform that places reasonable limits on executive emergency powers and ensures the legislature—your elected representatives—has a seat at the table during any crisis.
